Peter Stanley was appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer in August 2023.
Peter was formerly Chief Operating Officer and Director of Digital Operations at Elexon responsible for Code operations, including most recently the development of the Government’s Energy Price Guarantee Scheme and Energy Bill Discount Scheme and Elexon’s digital vision with the inception and delivery of the Elexon Kinnect platform. In this role, Peter has focused on developing initiatives that directly support Government and Regulatory Policy aligned to energy security and Net Zero.
Before joining Elexon in 2016, Peter was VP and Corporate CIO at National Grid and has over 35 years’ experience in the electricity industry with a proven track record of leading complex technology enabled business transformation in both gas and electricity, through strategy, regulatory, commercial and technology roles.
